Real Wedding Inspiration: Heather and Michael’s Michigan Beach Wedding

by jaime on June 18, 2012

Here’s a little secret: I actually know Heather from way back. We went to high school together, and when I saw her pictures starting to pop up on Facebook, I knew they’d be a beautiful fit for the site. She and Michael have known each other for a long time, and all their friends had sort of seen this coming.

Those are the cutest couples after all, don’t you think?

A few details from the bride:

We got married at Bay Harbor Village Hotel and Conference Center. Our ceremony was held at the Sunset beach and our reception was at their Lake MI room. My dress came from Unique Bridal in Auburn, MI (along with my veil).

My shoes came from, where they do an amazing job dyeing them.

All my jewelry/hair piece came from a friend…my something “borrowed”

The guys suits came from Dimitra Design in Greenville, SC

Our colors were: light pink, ivory and very light splashes of pale turquoise.

I wanted to bring a vintage/antique feel to our wedding. I used milk white vases. Peonies, roses and other assortment of flowers filled the vases. Two different types of tableclothers were used: Beige was used underneath and a lace tablecloth for on top.

Here’s to a happy, healthy and blessed future for Heather and Michael – thank you so much for sharing your beautiful wedding with us!
