Gift Idea for the Groom: Boudoir Photography

by jaime on August 31, 2012

Those of you who read our engagement story already know that my super awesome anniversary gift got trumped by a pretty diamond. That awesome gift was a bound collection of some wonderful boudoir photos that I had taken (by the talented Julie Jones of Picture Something Blue – who then later did our equally awesome engagement photos!) – including some where I even brought one of his favorite button down shirts along for the ride.

There has been a lot of buzz going around about bridal boudoir and for good reason. It’s SUCH a great gift idea and a wonderfully intimate way to preserve those wedding day memories. But to do it right, you need to stock up on gorgeous lingerie, and there’s one brand that I recommend above all others: Agent Provocateur. All of the lingerie shots you see below (and yes, they’re all of me!) feature Agent Provocateur, including their super popular Love collection, which is ideal for brides!

As an added bonus, Agent Provocateur is giving The Excited Bride readers Free Shipping this Labor Day weekend with code LABOR12 – it’s good through Monday night (US addresses only – sorry!) so I’d jump and shop soon. This is actually a pretty big deal – I end up paying around $20 for shipping each time I buy a new set, so consider this a great bargain!

I plan on getting another set of photos taken the day of the wedding to give to Cam, so I’m looking on their site for more gorgeous sets. I’m especially smitten by the Snowberry set in Ice – it can be my something blue!

What are your thoughts on getting boudoir photos taken for your husband?

Love,
Jaime

I did some for my husband, too. It was a blast! A g/f and I did it together and made a girl’s day of it (shopping, then met up with the husbands for dinner and drinks).

Yours look so much better than mine, though! Beautiful and classic :).

Could you please tell me where you purchased the lingerie set in the fourth and fifth photos above? I would love to have it for my own honeymoon! Thank you so much.

That set’s from Agent Provocateur, as are the rest of them!
