signature drinks for your wedding

I think this is the best part of the cocktail hour. Cheese and crackers have been way over done but everyone always loves a good, creative drink! Here are some ideas for your signature drink.

Groom’s Drinks:

Bourbon Fizz – bourbon, amaretto, OJ, club soda

A Hole In One – Johnny Walker Red, unsweetened iced tea, lemon wedge

Black & Tan – Guinness & Smithwick’s

Hot & Dirty Martini – vodka, pepperoncini juice, olive juice

Bride’s Drinks:

Lavender Lemonade – vodka, lemon, water, lavender simple syrup

Applegrove Champagne – champagne, apple liquor

Cucumber Mint Gimlet – cucumber gin, lime juice, mint simple syrup

Creamsicle – whipped vodka, orange seltzer water, orange wedge

Any of these strike your fancy?

If we could serve hard liquor at our wedding, I’d be doing a blushing greyhound: Ketel One vodka, grapefruit juice, pomegranate juice and a tiny bit of simple syrup. It’s my all-time favorite drink!

Hey Jaime – Why can’t you serve liquor at your wedding? The last wedding I was at served liquor only during the cocktail reception and only in the form of the Bride and Groom’s signature drinks. Clever way to keep the cost down and keep your guests from getting too tipsy.

No hard liquor (still beer, wine, champagne, etc) – it’s some kind of weird rule since the farm is city-owned. No bigs – there are still tons of options!
