2014 Wedding Trends (before you see them on Pinterest!)

by jaime on October 10, 2013

We LOVE this time of year! Sure, we get to break out our cute scarves, overload on pumpkin everything, and snuggle next to a fire. But what makes this time of year so fabulous is that so many couples are getting engaged! The majority of engagements happen in the fall/winter, which means so many new brides are about to embark on the exciting process of planning a wedding. In honor of the newly engaged (and those who are about to fall into this category in the coming months), we’ve compiled a list of darling wedding trends that you haven’t seen all over Pinterest…..yet!

Colors and Patterns

  • Colorblocking: We’ve all seen mismatched bridesmaid dresses, but colorblocking dresses (Contrasting yet complimentary colors paired together) are not only extremely flattering on most shapes, but also trendy, fun, and chic!

  • Floral: Floral patterns can be paired with fabrics like wool or leather for an edgier look, or mixed together for an amazingly sweet feel. From the invitations to your open air photo booth, floral is a versatile pattern that we are in love with!

Pre Ceremony Cocktail Hour:

A Pre Ceremony Cocktail Hour is a great way to get the celebration started! Serve signature cocktails to your guests as they arrive to your outdoor ceremony.

Morning Wedding:

Having a wedding before noon does not mean you need to sacrifice style and elegance. In fact, morning weddings are a great way to showcase a more delicate style that night-time weddings can’t match (they are also a great way to save money!). That morning sun, yummy breakfast foods, and daytime celebrating are a great way to mix it up!

Painted Cakes:

We are crushing on painted cakes and once you see these pictures you’ll see why! They are delicate, elegant, and these flowery ones go perfectly with the floral theme. They are so perfect you almost don’t want to eat them! (Almost)

Professional backdrop stands can be quite costly, unless you make your
own. – A fuzzy note book and special pen-
she already has one of these and it is one of her favorites.
Take your favourite picture and print it onto paper, and then trim it to fit
the plastic cover of the CD.
